I am always mesmerized by little things and these little bean bag birds are no exception! Their size is perfect for snatching up by little hands….but not big enough to take out a lamp. You have a choice of hand sewing them or machine sewing them. I am thinking you could probably get a few new stitchers to give you a hand at making the bean bag, don’t you?
Besides being a great first sewing project, they would make a wonderful present for a little one. Make a bunch of the bean bags and stuff them into a small container for their own personal bean bag toss game.
While the pattern calls for a shrunken wool sweater {which is a brilliant way to upcycle} the bean bags could easily be made with wool felt, or any fabric lying around in the sewing box.
The fun about them {besides their size} is that they can be made – mix and match style, or 3 look alikes for a game of toss- each player getting their own team colors. I am thinking this would be a great Birthday game too!
